Creamy & Refreshing Papaya Smoothie Recipe You’ll Love

Today we are preparing a papaya smoothie recipe, packing some interesting and healthy ingredients. You simply must try this delicious mix!

The aim of today’s sweet papaya recipe is to have a healthy mush that will wake you up with a sweet good morning. This happy mushy cake, as I like to call it, is a real treat for welcoming the day. Let’s dive into it.

We use an interesting combination of coconut water and Nesquik (chocolate syrup). I like the taste of Nesquik, but I also like it because it’s not as sweet as regular chocolate syrup. Besides, it’s a great combination with coconut water, providing that sweet, tasty base. However, Hershey’s is also quite suitable, so choose according to your taste.

Note: For this papaya smoothie recipe, I will use chocolate syrup at the end of the preparation process, just before serving, to decorate the serving glasses.

Mush half a cup of coconut water and a third cup of Nesquik (or two tablespoons of chocolate syrup, if you choose this one). Still, keep the syrup around; you’ll need it for the decoration part.

Once this is mushed and your preferred base combination is ready, add the main ingredient. Peel, chop, and seed half of the papaya. Astonishing amounts of vitamin C, fiber, and potassium combine and bring about powerful infection-fighting and antioxidant properties while acting as heart rate and blood pressure regulators.

The papaya also provides our body with other essentials, such as vitamins B1 and B6, which we need but do not naturally produce. Vitamin A, which is beneficial for promoting healthy skin, protects the mucous membranes and helps improve eyesight, is also present in this amazing fruit. Finally, papaya’s amino acid contents bring anti-inflammatory properties to the stomach while also improving digestion. Our base fruit for today is also very efficient against ulcers.

Add the papaya to the base mix and blend thoroughly. Once you get a consistent mix, we can add the next ingredient.

Fun Facts & Health Benefits

The Tree of Life

Figs are one of the oldest fruits known to man. We know that people were consuming figs even as early as five millennia ago. Even the Holy Bible mentions the fig, referring to it as the Tree of Life. They are very rich in fiber while being a carrier of a handful of essential minerals and vitamins. They contain calcium, magnesium, copper, manganese, and potassium. Calcium is popular for promoting healthy bones, and potassium lowers blood pressure.

Vitamin K plays a key role in the process of blood clotting and is necessary for strengthening the bones and lowering the risk of developing heart disease. The figs are rich in vitamin B6 as well, which helps create energy from food, improving the digestion of proteins and fats. B6 is also highly efficient in rejuvenating eyesight and promoting skin and hair quality.

Opt for dried figs, if you will, as this form of theirs bears much higher nutritional value. And finally, the figs are a perfect addition to today’s papaya smoothie recipe, also very weight-loss friendly as they contain dietary fiber, which is also a cancer-risk-lowering agent, reducing the chances of developing cancer by up to 30%.

Plums

Did you know that there are more than 140 different kinds of plums available in the United States?

It’s true. So, with that fact in mind, make your pick and pit 2 plums (or prunes), and throw them in the blender. Plums are ferocious fighters against the toxins we ingest every day, one way or another. Thanks to the modern way of life, we are subject to unavoidable daily toxic doses, either from the air, the water, or processed foods. There is one very interesting benefit to consuming plums or prunes. They contain vitamin A and zeaxanthin, which promote eye health by being absorbed within the retina to filter dangerous UV light out.

Grapes

Proceed with the last ingredient for today’s papaya smoothie recipe: grapes. Add 1/2 cup of nicely washed grapes to the mix. Choose red or green grapes, as long as they are sweet. While they bring a multitude of nutrients into our cup, there is a really specific one I want to share. The grapes contain polyphenol resveratrol, a powerful phytonutrient able to defend us from various nerve diseases, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease.

How to Make It

Mush four figs all nicely, and add a handful of fresh spinach leaves. I use spinach again because of its popular nutrient combo status, which always brings loads of health-promoting nutrients. More specifically, I love it because it’s good for the memory.

Blend for a while until the plums are well mixed. Proceed with the last ingredient for today’s papaya smoothie recipe: grapes.

We can proceed with the next healthy ingredient once it’s all well mixed and consistent.

Decoration

Now that your smoothie is perfectly blended, it’s time to get creative! Create a narrow chocolate syrup flow by slowly pouring it on the inside of the tilted glass while rotating it to create interesting lines. Get creative and show your guests that a healthy recipe doesn’t have to be a boring one as well.
